    Thanks for the comments everyone.
    Just now circling back to check on things (usually get an email notice if there is a response)
    She goes in for annual end of Feb, and will take a real close look. I also do a fairly detailed 25 hr inspection that usually brings the gear off the ground to inspect the struts, so that could be a good time to see if anything is loose.

    I did SB 1375 on my 1974 Warrior last July. My mechanic said that it was not a fun job, as it’s tough to get at some of the nuts and bolts. My aircraft has about 3300 hours on it with a small amount of flight instruction early in its life. Fortunately there was no abnormal wear to spar or bolts. I did replace all the hardware with new.

    Hi Dave;
    SB 1375 was released in March.
    It is much less definitive than 1375A
    1375A provides information to help field personnel determine if wear has occurred in the gear leg attach holes in the spar flanges.
    I understand your reluctance to take things apart if you’re not seeing any evidence of a problem.
    In my mind, any looseness should be evident if physical force is applied to the gear leg. To be sure it seems like the airplane would have to jacked with the mains clear of the surface for a good general inspection.
    Then if any movement is discovered, I would pull the bolts.
    AirWard (www.airward.com) sells a complete fastener kit for SB 1375A for $59 if you decide to replace all the hardware.
    Apparently Piper has found or been notified of loose MLG legs so this SB addresses that issue. Any damage to the wing spar is a big deal.
    Please let me know if you plan to do this inspection, and what you find.

    I just received Service Bulletin 1375A (odd that I never got 1375, and could not find a copy of it anywhere). Trying to understand the reason behind this SB. Also, seems to have a few contradictions in it. Instruction #3 indicates to discard all fastener and stack up items, yet in the note for #4 it appears they can be reused if they pass NDT. Also in 4.b.1 there is a difference of 0.0001″ in web thickness to determine which bolt size to use, seems unrealistic. I’m not fond of invasive maintenance unless it is really called for so appreciate any advice.
