Great info, will get some Tite-seal. I don’t care to have issues with teflon tape in my fuel system!
Fuel Drain Valve
-
Use Tite-seal, medium weight. Bits of teflon tape can end up in the fuel system. Not good.
My fuel sump drain valve is leaking, looking like an easy replacement. Does anyone know what thread type we have on a Piper Archer II, PA 28-181? Spruce Aircraft shows 78 different diameters and styles of Curtis Drain Valves. Looks like it’s about a 1/8″ perhaps. Thinking it might be a CCA-1250? Has anyone ever ordered and replaced these? Did you use teflon tape as a sealant?
Thanks
