I recently acquired a 1967 Arrow 180. It’ll be due for its 100 hour eddy current hub inspection in the next 20 hours. If there are no surprises, what should I expect in terms of downtime? Any suggestion of where I can have the inspection completed? I am located in NJ.
Propeller hub inspection

Hi Shane;
I recommend you contact East Coast Propeller Service in Lifitz, PA. The website is http://www.airplanepropellers.com for the answers you’re seeking.I suggest this course of action because I am not able to keep up with work flow and costs at every maintenance shop in the country.
There is also a Hartzell authorized service center in Canada–Hope Aero Propeller Services at http://www.HopeAero.com
You can locate other Hartzell service centers at: https://hartzellprop.com/services/overhaul-and-repair-services/recommended-service-facilities/.Please let me know what your learn.
Thanks
SteveHi Shane;
I believe you’re referring to AD 2009-22-03.
If the prop part number stamped into the hub of your propeller ends with an A or a B, the AD has already been complied with, and an action was incorporated that terminates the requirement for continuing repetitive inspections.If there is not an A or B suffix at the prop part number, when calling the prop shops I listed, ask about the possibility of modifying the hub to terminate the requirements of the AD
