Garmin Pilot and VIRB Integration

VIRB Garmin Pilot 0222

Garmin is excited to announce even more integration and capabilities within Garmin Pilot, which are coming very soon. Customers who utilize version 6.0 of Garmin Pilot on iOS devices in conjunction with VIRB™, Garmin’s HD action camera, will be able to view live video simultaneously in Garmin Pilot.

In addition to viewing live video footage from VIRB within Garmin Pilot, the option to control VIRB remotely will be available.  The option to start and stop video recording and take stills within the application is a convenient way to easily gather in-flight footage, all while viewing pertinent flight plan information.  This feature will be available in split screen mode, so pilots can simultaneously view their moving map display while also controlling VIRB.

Here are two example images from Garmin Pilot. Version 6.0 is anticipated to be available in the coming weeks and will offer pilots a unique opportunity to easily obtain high definition video and photos of their day-to-day flying adventures.
