    Hi Paul,

Apology such a delay in replying to your appreciated offer reply. I think I must have missed the auto-notice email signaling a post.

In Particular: Sort of just wondering “How do you like them?” might actually sound to vague. We do have them, but have only used them twice because of other work being done on the panel that is now completed.

And in our first two uses we had the natural “Does this work?” feeling in our mind as we flipped the transfer switches for the first time and could only wait and wonder.

    But maybe more specifically:

    1) The specs indicate the wait time before transferring any aux fuel, but what have you found? How long to you fly with full mains until you transfer?

    2) Weight and balance – How has it been with full tanks and full aux? We have done it twice, and it is essentially like having a 180lb passenger in the copilot seat I suppose. But any other loading or experiences you have had with all tanks filled?

    3) Do you have a digital EIS that is accurate enough to measure the 15 gallon transfer back-to the mains?

    4) How many hours do you flight plan for with a full mains and aux flight where you are looking for a long leg?

    5) Did you experience any metal shavings in your sumps as a result of the install drilling into the main tanks? (Wait, I suppose you said yours had them installed already. So IF there were any natural flushing out of these shavings, it was likely already done by your ownership.)

    6) Have you had any surprises or problems with them? Like – one transferring and the other not transferring, for any reason?

Mostly – how do you like them, and how often do you use them in your regular flying?

Hello Dale. We recently bought a Seneca II aircraft that already included the ‘extended range’ tanks and nacelle tanks giving the total fuel you refer to. I assume you have already installed the tanks? Is there something in particular you wanted to know?

    Hi Steve & John,

I did email John the Griggs installation instructions and some of the limited installation photos provided by Griggs.

If truly installing a pair, you might consider using or speaking with the shop that just finished ours. As is common, there was some skill and art involved to match and comply with the sometimes grainy installation drawings.

    Hi John,

Did you get what you wanted from Dale?

If not, we may be able to relay your request.

    Best,
    Steve

    Hi Dale,
I have a set of Nayak nacelle tanks and hardware that I want to install in my seneca 3
I wonder if you could send me an email at jppt2000@gmail.com to compare installation instructions.

I am moving the forum conversation over to my column in the magazine.

I hope to get your attention, and to convince you to send larger picture files to our editor.

500  mb or larger is preferred.

    Her address is: Jen@aviationgroupltd.com.

    Thanks
    Steve
