Adventure Pilot Announces iFly EFB 14.1 with Smarter Cockpit Tools and Expanded Flight Planning Features

An iFly EFB version 14.1 yellow and grey screen displays an active navigation map over McKinney National Airport alongside a preflight checklist for a Cessna 172.

McKINNEY, Texas, July 21, 2026 — Adventure Pilot today announced the upcoming release of iFly EFB 14.1, bringing new tools designed to make flight planning, cockpit workflow, and in-flight decision-making faster, clearer, and more connected.

The release introduces several pilot-focused enhancements that help bring useful information forward at the right time, reduce screen-hunting, and improve confidence from preflight through shutdown.

An iFly EFB version 14.1 application displays a detailed flight planning navigation log table with waypoint, altitude, wind, course, and fuel metrics for a flight to KTKI.

A major highlight is Dynamic Checklists, which turn traditional checklists into context-aware cockpit tools. Instead of simply displaying static instructions, checklist items can adapt to the current flight situation, surfacing relevant frequencies, runway details, altitude references, ATC cues, and other timely information. Pilots can also jump directly from checklist rows to related areas of the app, keeping planning, navigation, and cockpit tasks connected.

iFly EFB 14.1 also introduces VFR Visual Approaches, giving pilots a clearer way to prepare for and fly runway-specific arrivals. Paired with new Turn-Aware Flight Plans, iFly now presents a more natural view of how a route will actually unfold in flight, with smoother, speed-aware turn paths that make transitions easier to anticipate.

The iFly EFB version 14.1 navigation screen displays flight instruments, a compass rose, and an aviation sectional yellow and blue map showing Class B and Class D airspace details near Lucas.

New Vertical Nav and Horizontal Nav instruments provide additional precision when tracking routes, descents, and approach-style guidance, while MOS weather data gives pilots another helpful source for evaluating conditions before and during flight.

For preflight planning and cockpit reference, pilots can now generate a Printable NavLog from their flight plan, making it easier to review, brief, and carry key route information in a familiar format.

An iFly EFB version 14.1 screen displays a green visual approach procedure map for Runway 18 at McKinney National Airport (KTKI) with a Left 45 transition selected.

Additional enhancements in iFly EFB 14.1 include:

  • Improved Night Mode with updated color palettes for maps, forms, and menus
  • Additional KML and XML export/import options for custom waypoint management
  • Expanded flight plan tools to improve planning, review, and cockpit usability
  • New map and navigation refinements designed to make route information easier to interpret at a glance “iFly EFB 14.1 is about bringing the right information closer to the pilot,” said Juanita Boyd, Vice President of Adventure Pilot. “From smarter checklists to better visual guidance, this release helps pilots spend less time hunting through screens and more time focused on the flight.”
