Consolidated Fuel Systems is pleased to announce the acquisition of Great Planes Fuel Metering, Inc. For over 17 years, Great Planes Fuel Metering has serviced the general aviation industry, providing high quality overhauled fuel systems. Consolidated Fuel Systems has been an affiliated brand of the Tempest Aero Group® since 2015 providing overhauled fuel pumps and fuel injection systems.
Dave Dewell, President of Great Planes has had a long career overhauling, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of aircraft fuel systems. In 2007 he desired to venture out on his own and opened Great Planes Fuel Metering.
Great Planes provides overhaul services on various fuel pumps and systems with a unique expertise on fuel injection systems eligible on ContinentalTM engines. Consolidated Fuel Systems is a Class 1 FAA Approved Repair Station authorized to repair and overhaul Lear-RomecTM fuel pumps and fuel injection systems for Continental engines. The acquisition of Great Planes Fuel Metering will enable Consolidated Fuel Systems to offer a more comprehensive product offering to better serve its customers and expand into new markets.

Consolidated Fuel Systems provides high quality fuel systems overhauled at their Burlington, NC facility. They are an affiliate brand of Tempest Aero Group, also based in Burlington.
