Hey guys,
Anyone out there dealt with this before?
Kent
—————————————
Good Morning Kent,
We currently have a Piper Arrow IV PA-28RT-201T s/n 28R-7931239 in our shop and we are rigging the flight controls.
Working on the rudder rig now and we are finding that the rudder is nowhere near going to make the 33 degrees +or-1.
Customer fabricated rig fixture per section 95 in the maintenance manual.
The 33 degrees is also called out in the TCDS.
This is a T tail aircraft. With the rudder cables disconnected and the stops screwed in. The rudder upper leading edge hits the T Tail fitting that is attached at the top of the rear spar of vertical fin.
What is going on here?
Is the 33 degree travel correct?
Is there anyone out there that have rigged the rudder on a T Tail?
Thank You,
Darrel R Gibson
