Darrell Pool here. I am the owner of Smooth Power, LLC. which used to be the master distributor for Electroair. Last year I purchased half of Electroair so now we deal directly with our ignition customers as well as through Aircraft Spruce. Smooth Power, LLC is still a distributor for Hartzell Top Prop STC propeller kits.

In answer to your question regarding the replacement of the Bendix dual magneto on your Piper Dakota, yes, Electroair is certified to replace the Bendix dual magneto with two Electroair high-energy, high performance electronic ignition systems.

I own a 1981 Piper Dakota with a Lycoming 0540-J3A5D engine serial # L-21175-04A and wondering if the dual mag is able to be replaced with electronic ignition.
