Our February 2019 e-Newsletter asked the following question:
Do you fly with a carbon monoxide detector?
The following are the rankings of the results:
1. Yes. 70%
2. No. 30%
Here are the additional comments:
• My aircraft is not flying yet, but it will have one!
• After the recent accident report in which four people died, probably overcome with carbon monoxide, I have purchased a detector and plan to always fly with it. Got a Kidde unit from Amazon for about $25.
• I would like to.
• Yes, it usually alerts during engine start and shut down, but not in flight.
• No need in a PA-30.
• Haven’t before. Because of article, I just got one.
