I’m pleased to report that L88 (New Cuyama Airport in New Cuyama, California) is repaired and open for visiting pilots! Please see images below for pictures from the reopening ceremony.

For those of you on the central coast of California (or for those with a soft spot for small-town airports), the friends of the New Cuyama airport organization is fundraising for runway repair. I have driven through Cuyama valley many times, but the runway has been closed the last few years and so I’ve never had the pleasure of visiting by air.
