Engine hours and calender time both factor in for change intervals. I have a hard time leaving oil in the engine over 6 months.

From member Randall:
Relax and fly. If oil samples test good I would continue to fly it. But start putting money away for overhaul. –Randall
From member Brad Dickerson:
I have a 1979 Dakota, pristine in every way. The engine has 2400 hours on it and running perfect. Annual last month revealed lowest compression at 76. We change oil every 25 hours and send off for analysis that has always come back “normal” should I change the engine out or wait another year and do another 50 hours?
