Thanks Steve, I went ahead and bought tickets. My dad has a milestone birthday coming up, and my brother and I are going to surprise him with this trip to Airventure. We went back in 2022 and had a good time, but the driving and parking was a drag, at least it was for me. I suppose for those guys it was probably pretty sweet as I dropped them off at the gate before fighting my way back out to the general parking lot and then hoofing it the 14 miles back to the gate. This option will definitely be a lot more relaxing – for me! We’ve got an AirB&B booked less than a mile away from the resort, so planning to drive over in the morning to get on the bus.

Maybe my PA-12 project will even be done by then! Not that I’d be flying it over, but at least being able to bring along some pics of the finished product would be cool.

I’ve been attending every AirVenture for over two decades and believe me–this is one of the sweetest deals available for attendees.
First off, it’s difficult to find a room near AirVenture at this price; and the $100 for the banquet and the no hassle, take you to the gate bus travel is an amazing, and comfortable way to travel to and from the main gate. 
I like the bus because our bus never leaves the parking lot–need a nap or to drop off some of the cool airplane supplies or momentos you purchased–drop your bags at the bus and/or catch a short power nap before you stride out again. 
In my experience, it would be very difficult to beat this opportunity, especially for fly in visitors.

Hi Erik,
Thanks for your question and your interest in the Gathering at Waupaca.On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings, the bus(es) to AirVenture will arrive at the Par 4 Resort at 07:00 and depart for Oshkosh at 07:30.The bus remains on the grounds during the day and will generally be available if you need to take a rest or drop off packages. Check with your bus driver for bus access availability.The bus will depart the AirVenture grounds at 18:00 to return to the Par 4 Resort.

Unfortunately, we’re not able to accommodate any other schedules. It would be cost-prohibitive and logistically difficult to do so.

In past years, some attendees have worked with local transportation companies out of Waupaca to arrange for additional days/times transport to AirVenture. I’ll see if I can track down those contacts.

Can you tell me what time(s) the coach will run to/from Airventure? I’m hoping it’ll be making a few trips at different hours to accommodate people’s schedules & preferences. Thanks!
