Cheryl,
Is there a particular reason you want a Seminole or are you just looking for a twin engine trainer type plane? I think the more recent twin “trainers” such as the Seminole, Duchess and Cougar can be hard to find since they are usually being used by flight training schools and as such they are “working planes” that are worth more to them. So they tend to not come on the market or be more expensive when they do. Also they can have very high total times due to all the training. Of course they are the perfect planes for what you want, it’s just everyone else wants them too. I fly an Apache and they can occasionally be found too. Just be wary of the condition as I have spent quite a bit of time getting mine in good running condition they way I want. But it fits this role just as well as the others. You could also consider a Piper Twin Comanche or Beech TravelAir. A bit “hotter” airplane but still would be great in this role.
