Wow!
What a story!
If you have the time and energy, I urge you to write up a story detailing the steps in rescuing your airplane.
Even a photo essay would tell the story.
We will find a place for it in the PIper Flyer magazine.
Thanks for rescuing another one from a barn.
Happy Flying,
Let me know if I can help.

Well Steve there’s a lot of information to digest with the answers to those questions. I started training for my private pilots license in 1989 and I earned it in 2020. I purchased a 1961 Cessna 172 in December 2019 and finished up my training in August. I purchased the arrow in October 2020 where it has been sitting in a barn in Central Ohio for 23 years. A friend of mine who’s an IA and another young friend is an AP went down to central Ohio and did a top overhaul on the airplane. They went through everything and got it ferryable and taxied it through the lawn, down the street, down the cow path to the crop duster runway in the middle of the cornfields and moved to Clintonville Wisconsin. Through January 2021 it receive new hoses and brakes and all kinds of fancy new parts on the airframe and engine. I got checked out in it in February and met my 20 hours of total time for insurance purposes to carry passengers. I proceeded to have the avionics upgraded as they were all original. It’s received an extensive avionics upgrade including two GPS, ADSB in and out. It is getting two new AV30s and two new indicators with Glideslope.
I now have just over 200 hours total time with about 120 of those in the last year and about 40 in the Arrow. If weather holds, my wife and I are headed on our first serious cross country from Appleton, WI to Tulsa, OK.
