Thank you Steve and Aaron.
Of course one would get the best service on a Seneca at… Seneca County airport! You win that one for sure.
Thank you for the referral – I will keep that for any questions that might come up.

Dale,
Last year we took our Seneca III (which already has the KB engines) to Tiffin Aire, at the Seneca County airport in Ohio. They did a fine job installing the Turbo Plus intercoolers.
Regards,
Aaron
Hi Dale,
I have not done this swap, nor do I have any experience flying either engine.
Preliminary research for differences in the FAA TCDS records seems to indicate the differences between the two engines are internal–slightly different crankshaft counterweight configurations. The TCDS show that both engines weigh the same.
Hopefully another reader can add his/her advice and experience.
Steve
Hello Group,
We are replacing our current EB engines with KB engines. A $500 accessories credit incentive from Air Power (per engine) at OSH was all we needed to tip us into the decision.

Question: Has anyone done this EB / KB engine swap under this STC?
Our shop is fully capable of course, but it seemed worth reaching out here learn if there are any unique goblins or things to be aware of before we bump into them on our own. We have purchased appropriate baffle kits from McFarlane / Airforms.
Is it fair to assume that it is pretty much a bolt-for-bolt exchange if the EB and KB are essentially part-identical?
Thanks for any thoughts or war stories.
