Welcome to the forum. What is your mission? And how do the finances look? And of course what do you want? There are a lot of “PA-32s” you can consider from the old Cherokee 6-260 right up to Turbo Saratoga. I happen to like the PA-32 series but obviously the PA-46 is a whole level up from them. I don’t know if you are considering the Matrix (unpressurized) or if you think you need the pressurization. If so then the pressurized PA-46 is the only choice here. The Malibu will put you in a different operating environment than the Cherokee 6/Saratoga as it can go to much higher altitudes. Of course you don’t have to fly at the higher Flight Levels but then why buy a pressurized airplane?

Hi gang,

Kevin Clarke based out of KFIT and spend a lot of time at KBHB. Cherokee challenger driver ASEL/ASES with instrument rating. Looking for some conversation and advice on upgrading to a PA32 or 46. The Saratoga seems an easier transition but the Malibu is the right plan for the mission. I’m looking to get some advice and experiences shared and have my expectations set appropriately.
