    Jeff,

This will be a nice looking panel when it is done and I think I speak for everyone when I say I look forward to seeing the finished product. Let us know if you have any other Questions!

Yes, the panel is already in pieces as we speak. I approved a rough layout and the design was sent to the panel maker and they will be the ultimate arbiter of what can go where.

I’ll post up a final layout once we get it back from the panel designer.

    Jeff,

That is a good lay out, I noticed you had a CDI in the top left for the SL 30. You would not need that CDI. You can display the GTN and SL30 Nav info on the G3X. Do you have an install facility picked out for this project?

    Regards,

Yes I Did consider doing EIS but it was six grand more. Since I already have the JPI 830 in there I just couldn’t justify spending six grand to rip and replace something that’s already doing A satisfactory job of providing me the information I need.

If the GPI ever craps out then more than likely I will upgrade to EIS at that point.

I was considering the G3X and JPI but I’m now considering using the G3X engine monitoring after a flight in an Arrow that did the same – I liked the seeing the gauges on the screen right in front of me – have you considered going w/ the G3X engine monitoring in lieu of the JPI?
I saw this at Oshkosh in the Garmin tent – it shows some of the G3X 10″ display capabilities.

New panel on my PA32RT-300T being designed. Here is my rough drawing of what I think it should be. Thoughts from the crew on this layout?
