Hi Kent, just to let you know there’s a software bug with our boxes that you should know about. You must pull the breaker on your mlb-100 box until the 540 has identified it’s gps (lat-long) position. You can see the lat/long on the transponder when it’s available. Then you power up the mlb-100 and not before. If you power up the mlb-100 box before the 540 knows its position, the mlb-100 will lock up and not show the ownship position correctly. They are working on this.

Hello Scott,
Yes, picked up the completed IFD440 and MLB100 installed today. Didn’t have much time to fly to fully explore the functions. Not too surprised at the common source…ie…the audio panels often from the same manufacturer. Looking forward to my next flight!

Hi Kent,
Gee, I think I have a good laugh for you. If you remember, I installed the NavWorx ADS-600B UAT with my IFD-540 and Garmin GMX-200 MFD. As I recall you were waiting for MLB-100 availability. Did you get it? Is it installed yet? Do you like it? Guess what!?! They are the same box. NavWorx is supplying their ADS-600B UAT to Avidyne, who is renaming it the MLB-100… their service guy told me. Now you know you have a good box, however.

Finally have my IFD 440/MLB100 install scheduled this coming Wednesday! Can’t wait to have my panel completed. Will post some pics in a week or so…

Looks great! I have found traffic info to be VERY helpful..confirming my “scan”. My install is scheduled for first week of November. Awaiting Avidyne MLB100 availability. I utilize my Status 2 and iPad/Foreflight for ADS info, at present. Looking forward to weather/traffic on my IFD 540
