I enlisted a aviation mechanic to help and it was a squeeze requiring some tools I don’t have but it is done now.

Hi Mike,
On mine there are two screws holding the plate in. Remove the screws and the plate pops out. I would recommend that you take a pic of your oil cooler and post it here and I’ll help you through it.
Any hints on removing the winterization plates on a Saratoga?
They are not easy to get to and it is not obvious how to remove them.
