Vero Beach, Fla., March 2, 2015 –

Environmental champion Keep Indian River Beautiful (KIRB) recently recognized Piper Aircraft, Inc. with its New Partner Award for the environmental efforts of the aircraft company’s Green Initiatives Team.

“Piper Aircraft recognizes its responsibility to build a sustainable future for our community, employees, and customers,” said Simon Caldecott, President and CEO of Piper. “It is our policy to ensure the environmental integrity of our products and processes, in a joint-departmental effort, as an integral part of our business. We are pleased by the decision of Keep Indian River Beautiful to recognize Piper for our continued dedication to the environment.”

Piper Environmental Engineer and project lead, Stacy Gordon, was awarded KIRB’s Environmental Champion Award for her passionate commitment to The Green Initiatives Team, as well.

“I have found that the community at Piper has long promoted environmental stewardship,” said Gordon. “The Green Team simply fashioned a design and implemented the tools to do more of just that – within our company and far beyond the confines of our factory walls.”

About Piper Aircraft’s Green Initiative Team
