RADIANT Introduces the New CO-Pocket™

Portable, Rechargeable Carbon Monoxide Detector for Pilots

RADIANT Technology, a long-recognised developer of innovative portable instruments for pilots, has announced a new addition to its carbon monoxide detector family: the CO-Pocket™.

Designed for aviation use, the CO-Pocket is a fully self-contained, rechargeable carbon monoxide detector that fits easily in a pocket, hangs from a lanyard (included), or mounts on any surface in the cockpit. It provides the same proven carbon monoxide protection found in RADIANT’s popular CO-USB and CO-USB-UP models—now with the freedom of battery operation.

It has a USB-C charging port, and we include a standard USB-A to USB-C charging cable. If the user wants a USB-C to USB-C cable (which are very common) they’ll need to procure one separately.

The CO-Pocket™ is available for $79.95. Complete information is available at https://www.radiantinstruments.com/product-page/co-pocket-carbon-monoxide-detector.

The CO-Pocket uses an advanced electrochemical CO sensor tuned to alert at the FAA-recommended 41 PPM threshold. When that level is reached, the unit issues a distinct audible alarm along with a buzzer and a bright red strobe flash that cuts through cockpit noise and sunlight. Typical accuracy is ±10 ppm or ±10 %, whichever is greater. A small sealed port allows clean-air zeroing to maintain long-term stability.

“Pilots asked for a CO detector they could carry anywhere,” said James Wiebe, President & CEO of Radiant. “We listened. The CO-Pocket keeps the same trusted alert logic and visual flash that made the CO-USB line successful, now with a buzzer and aural alarm, all in a compact, rechargeable package that goes wherever the pilot goes. We also added a temperature and humidity gauge.”

Powered by an internal lithium battery, the CO-Pocket operates for up to six months on a single USB charge. The digital display shows carbon-monoxide level, battery state, temperature, and humidity. As it is a portable device, no certification is required, making it ideal for experimental, LSA, and certified aircraft alike.

The unit measures approximately 2.3 x 2.3 x .78 inches and weighs about 1.4 oz. As with all RADIANT instruments, it is supported by a three-year limited USA warranty.

Orders may be placed directly at RADIANTinstruments.com and also through RADIANT’s approved distributor, Aircraft Spruce & Specialty Co.  Because of ongoing tariff and supply chain uncertainty, features, pricing, and availability may be adjusted at any time without notice.
