Lycoming Engines, an operating division of Avco Corporation, announces its exhibition activities during AERO Friedrichshafen from April 15th-18th. Attendees of this global general aviation show can visit Lycoming at booth A3-115.
Customer Support
Lycoming team members will be on-site daily at the booth during the show to answer both sales and technical support questions for customers and attendees.
Engine Display
Engines will also be displayed and we have added iPads equipped with engines to provide interactive data.
233 Series Engine: Lycoming’s Light Sport Aircraft engine offers traditional Lycoming performance in a lightweight package. This engine is capable of running on low octane unleaded automotive fuels as well as aviation gasoline.
AEIO-540-EXP Engine: This engine model was selected to power the Red Bull Air Races for 2014 and 2015. These aerobatic Thunderbolt engines were custom built in our Advanced Technology Center and standardized to fit Red Bull Air Race’s racing profile and specifications.
Thunderbolt 390 Series Engine: Thunderbolt Engines are Lycoming’s brand of high performance, built-to-order power plants. Built in Lycoming’s Advanced Technology Center, Thunderbolt engines involve the pilot as part of the design and build team. With Thunderbolt engines, you get a genuine Lycoming factory engineered engine, custom factory built, factory tested and supported – with your choice of fuel systems, ignition systems, and performance enhancements.
Engine Technology Update Presentation by Lycoming’s Senior Vice President Michael Kraft, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Lycoming Engines, will present an engine technology update in the Berlin Room (Conference Center East) from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Friday, April 17. The presentation will also include a showing of “Experience Lycoming: History. Making. Engines,” – a short movie that highlights Lycoming’s rich history and today’s advancements and dedicated employees. Those who are unable to attend Mr. Kraft’s presentation will also be able to view the movie at Lycoming’s booth (A3-115).
