The ailerons just needed to be re-rigged.
We don’t know exactly what caused that, but the mechanic didn’t find anything wrong.
It is now perfectly re-aligned!
David,
My opinion is that if this came on suddenly in the last few hours that you have an airworthiness issue here. I absolutely would not fly the airplane until your A&P has gone over the airplane. There is an AD on the yoke and there’s a lot of cables, pulleys and other things that can go wrong, including potential corrosion problems. See your mechanic and let us know what the outcome is.

On my Piper Lance, my ailerons are not aligned anymore. I don’t know what caused that, but I have noticed for the last few hours that my yoke is not anymore centered when neutral. Also, when the yoke is centered, the right aileron is lower than the wing. To keep a straight flight, the yoke needs to be hold a little to the right and my ailerons are lower on the left and higher on the right. Did anybody had this phenomena? Is it an easy fix? I guess it create unnecessary drag as well.
