Hello Eric,
The issue is we can only go as fast as our government (FAA) in adding models to our STC lists. At this point in time, we are 2 years in on trying to get the 24V STC paperwork completed but eventually, with patience and perseverance, we will eventually have your Apache. 🙂
Hi Steve and thank you for stopping by our booth to learn more! Here is the page on our website that lists a lot of the details, such as the installation manual and the actual STC, which we offer free with the purchase of battery. https://earthxbatteries.com/product/ETX900-TSO-35-PA-STC-BUNDLE/?bundle_quantity_1=1&bundle_quantity_2=1&bundle_variation_id_5=13068&bundle_attribute_pa_aircraft-make_5=Piper&bundle_attribute_pa_aircraft-model_5=PA-32-300
It appears that the Earth-X battery is not available yet for any Piper twins. Since I have an Apache I’m wondering if/when they would be approved for the Piper twins? Is it just getting paperwork done or is there a real issue?
Hi Kathy,
I stopped by your booth and after learning more about your Earth X battery, it’s looking better than ever.
Very light weight–I’ll gain at least 20 pounds of useful load by taking out my Concorde 35 AXC (now costing $500) and replacing it with your ETX-900 which is approved by TSO for installation in my Piper Comanche.I also learned that the Earth X battery self discharges at a very slow rate (1/2 % per month) which means that I won’t be confronted with a weak battery if I take a month off from flying.
I a
The Earth X battery is a Lithium Iron phosphate (LiFePO- ) battery, it won’t spontaneously combust like we see EV batteries doing on Youtube. With a 6 year rated life it seems like it’s a good deal, in spite of the cost today being $200 more than a replacement 35 AXC.Hey everybody – OSH is the perfect time to get one-on-one attention to any question you have about Lithium batteries. If you fly one of these airframes, you should be asking questions.
Remember – FAA TSO-approved – no easy task.

We have a lot of STC’s for Pipers (which we offer free of charge) and this is the perfect place to come ask questions, meet the team, and lay hands on the batteries so you can see for yourself, they really are that light.!
