Hi Folks,

First post here. Looking forward to learning and contributing. It’s good to be here.
I purchased a 2002 Saratoga Turbo (PA32R-301T) back in February and have about 90 hours in type.

Does anyone have the numbers for this aircraft for stabilized precision and non-precision approaches?

Something like this:

Level Segments (pre-FAF)
MP?
RPM?
Gear Up?
Flaps Up?
Gives how many knots?

FAF inbound – Precision Approach
Just below GS Intercept (when GS is about 1/2 dot above center)
MP?
RPM?
Gear Down?
Aim for 95 knots? and 5-700 FPM decent?
Flap Setting?

FAF Inbound – non precision
MP?
RPM?
Gear down?
Aim for 1,000 FPM until MDA?
Once at MDA, power back to MP? – Knots?

Appreciate any help.

I fly a 2001 SARATOGA Turbo also. I also look at CHT as the chief parameter. Below 400, and EGT below 1500. I would rather burn a little fuel rather than a cylinder! I have researched and inquired from several A&P’s and experienced pilots. CHT is most important. What year is your turbo?

Those are about the same numbers that I look for. I have a PA-32-301 (non Turbo). If I remember correctly, (and depending how you lean), the manual states to lean and then add 100 back (for EGT). So for example if lean is reached at 1540 then add mixture to get the numbers to 1440.

I have a PA-32-301T and am looking for a good rule of thumb on the CHT and EGT to be followed. I try to keep the CHT around 380 deg and the EGT at or below 1500. Any thoughts?
