In addition to finding these ferrules (460-463) at Skygeek, I also found that Aviall has 10 of them in its Dallas warehouse. Cost is $115 each.

Hi Bill;
I’m glad you found the correct part number. One source (Skygeek) cited a price of $140 ea, which to me is obscene. The site seemed to indicate they’re on back order. Aviall has this ferrule listed on its site.
Whereas Cessna used flared fittings on tubing, Piper chose to use these flareless crimp style connections.
Flareless tube fittings are available–see the attached page. It doesn’t look as though these fittings are the same as the flareless sleeves used by Piper. The part numbers for use on half inch tubes are MS21921-D8 for the nut and MS21922-8C for the sleeve. I don’t know if these are available from other supply houses but they are available from Genuine Aircraft Hardware (www.gen-aircraft-hardware.com.
Members have run into this scarcity before. One option–if there’s room–is to splice in a short piece of tubing using much more widely used, common and affordable flared tube fittings. A short piece of 5052 1/2 OD tubing, two “B” nuts (AN818-8D), two flared tube sleeves (MS20819-8D) and a union (AN815-8D) is all you’ll need—total cost around $15 retail.
The tubing, flared tube fittings and flaring tools are available at aviation supply houses such as Aircraft Spruce and Specialty and others.
While this is a very attractive option, there may not be room to use a flaring tool to implement the flared tube repair.
The pin hole leak was undoubtedly caused by the two tubes rubbing against each other.
Please update this post telling everyone how you solved the problem.

Thanks to Andre at Piper, I now know it is PN 460-463 for my 1/2′ 5052 aluminium alloy fuel line. Now just need to price it…

This is the build sheet from Piper, I think the sleeve I need is 63882-17…

No tube assembly in stock at Piper or Aviall, so I’m fabricating a new line with the same 1/2″ 5052 aluminium alloy tube.

Problem is getting the flareless sleeve coupling for the tube end at the wing root; that attaches to a male union with a nut.

Piper’s diagram attached is for the opposite end, at the fuel selector, with a 37 degree flared fitting PN 486-894. This 1/2″ fuel tube runs from the fuel selector to the wing root a male union, then to the Left tip tank. I need a new sleeve for the line I’m fabricating with my AME.
Any help with suppliers or part #??

I need a replacement fuel line due to a pinhole leak about 1.5 ‘ up from the fuel selector (under the middle seats):

piper part # 69039-00 Tube Assembly – Fuel selector, Left tip tank

Any suggestions where to get it?

It’s a big fuel line ~9/16” diameter with the 7/8” size wrench fittings that screw directly into the fuel selector. Interestingly, the pinhole is where the 2 left lines where clipped together as they cross one above the other (under the middle seats), with in the lower Left tip line developing a pinhole on it’s underside.
