I just installed my PAR361PL. It came with a new gasket that replaced the OEM landing light’s gasket.

Lurking on this thread as I am replacing my landing light with a WAT PAR361PL as well.

I accidentally bought a PAR46 first and it came with a gasket, did the PAR36 not come with one?

I’ve looked for the same seal. I have an LED and the original Piper seal fits. I’ve looked for the seal using the part numbers listed in SB 975. Just can’t find new ones. Mine is still in good condition so I just inspect it for deterioration on pre-flight. Fabricating might eventually be my answer.

    Hi David,
Finding that part number wasn’t easy. The Cessna part number is 0752646-1. I found a couple on eBay; not cheap.
I don’t have a generic part number although I believe this gasket is used on every small airplane that came out of the factory with the 4509 configuration landing lights.
If it weren’t Sunday, I would reach out to Whelen emailINFO@FLYWAT.COM
social icon – phone(772) 562-4757 to ask if a gasket is needed.
If they say yes, ask for a part number.
Sorry I couldn’t do better on this; I checked both Piper and Cessna parts books–I think I hit the jackpot on book #9.

    Hi David,
Please provide year and model PA 28, and type of LED light.
    Thanks,

Replacing a landing light with an LED unit, no problem with that, but having some trouble with the p/n and source for the gasket that fits. Presently it has a black rubber one and would like to replace. I can fabricate, no problem, but if there’s one available, I would rather use it.

    THANKS!!

    David
