If Preferred and Wentworth don’t have one, you can find other salvage yards by googling “Piper airplane salvage yards.”
Or,If you have the old one, you can go to your local (good) hardware store to find if you can find a similar length and strength spring. If you don’t have the old one to compare, you can go online to stores like http://www.compressionspring.com, and search its extension springs catalog.
