You are correct Steve. You cannot fly aircraft like these and be an owner for less. Availability is excellent and we have several members who have property in Mexico and have given up individual ownership for the benefits of this group.
PA32-300 and PA28-235 Partnership

Sounds like an ideal situation for a local pilot. Both airplanes in your fleet are tough and can carry a load. Flying clubs are the best option for most pilots–share the expenses and still be able to take off for a week on a vacation without running up daily rental fees.
2 aircraft partnership – PA32-300 Cherokee 6 and PA28-235. $10,000.00. Based at Gillespie Field KSEE. Both aircraft in a single hangar with restroom and pilot locker space. Both meet ADS-B requirements and are licensed and insured for Mexico flight. Cherokee 6 is $55/hr dry and 235 is $35/dry. Monthly fee is $200 which covers insurance, annuals, hangar and miscellaneous expenses.
