Hi Michael;
The consensus between the owner and a local A & P is that the prop will need to have AD 97-18-02R1 completed before it’s again airworthy. This AD is due every 5 years or 600 hours time in service.
If you’re interested, the owner will listen to bids.
Where is the airplane located?
The spinner back plate and spinner are included.

Prop is shot – PA-24 (not PA-28)

I have attached photos of the prop my friend has for sale.
Hi Michael,
I know of a used 2 blade prop that was removed from a Comanche 250. It’s in very good shape and was overhauled very recently. I’ve seen it and it appears to be in very good condition. It is located in Paso Robles, CA (KPRB). I will find out more today and post more information.
I don’t believe the owner wants more than $6K for everything, but I’ll check today to see if my memory is correct.
He installed a MT three bladed propeller ($$$)
SteveComanche 250 has been sitting for several years and in process of getting AD’s and annual. Prop has been determined to be too costly to overhaul. Recommendation is to either get a new McCauley 3 blade ($16k) or buy a used prop and overhaul current governor ($10-11k). A different recommendation is to get a high performance 2 blade Hartzell from Johnston Aviation ($14k) that requires changing the counter weights (extra labor – $2k). Any advice would be appreciated.
