I got one from him a while back also. I was going to do that also. But in the meantime I sold my 140 and bought a 28R. So that leads me to this. I have a complete set of engine baffles in serviceable condition that I picked up to do the retrofit. If anyone is interested, I might be able to be talked out of them at a reasonable price.

    Thank you very much Jen!
    I’ll be on the lookout.

    Hi Meighan,
I’ve emailed Marc and hopefully he’ll jump online and answer.

I have not received anything yet. Would surely appreciate a copy of the 337.
    Thank You

Would it be possible for me to get a copy of the approved FAA form 337 and any attachments?
This would be to modify my PA28-140 (Don’t let my e-mail address confuse as it is a carry over from my previously owned Tri-Pacer).
Your Assistance would be Greatly Appreciated!

All the parts are listed on the 337. As far as the sketch/diagram, I used the Piper Warrior (PA28-161) parts diagram as listed in the parts book. The oil cooler installation is the same in both the Maintenance Manuals. I included the copies of both the 140 and 161 parts illustrations as well as the installation instructions for the oil cooler when I submitted it to the FAA.

I believe I sent you the back side of 337 before, did you get it? Let me know. You can email me at vaillankm@gmail.com.

Thanks for the information. Just a quick question or two. Did you list all the parts on a 337 and include a sketch or diagram of the new placement before you actually went to FSDO to start the approval process? And if so, can you share the parts list with me as I am going to go out to Wentworth (they on my home field) and look for all the necessary arts minus the lines. I sure appreciate it as I have often thought about the oil leak problem myself. The plane starts its annual end of august so it would be great timing if I can get it done. Plus with the new AD for oil lines again the timing is perfect.
    Thanks so much.

Here’s what i sent to the FSDO. I had new type D oil lines made up at acft spruce…you could also order the oil lines for a PA28-161 and they would work. All other parts (baffles and oil cooler mount) were Piper parts that are from a Warrior (PA28-161). I used my original oil cooler with 90 degree fittings and it worked OK.

Let me know how it works for you.
