SENECA I in Argentina

Thanks Steve, I understood the same about the Seneca II. I believe this fuselage might have been designed for a Seneca II, but fitted into one of the last Seneca I on the production run. I could not find any evidence of adding that 4th window after the plane was manufactured.
This Seneca has club seating, but also do the other 2 Seneca I that are siblings to this one (which were part of that smuggling run I mentioned), which have just 3 windows per side (LV-LIL and LV-LCW. But all these planes retain the standard MTOW of 4000/4200 pounds with the naturally aspirated Lycs.
LV-LIL has a nice mod on the engine cowlings, with 2 landing lights, one per side. See picture attached.
So far still pulling things apart on my plane. Next week I will put the order for all engine + landing gear spares with Aviation Parts. ELT will also be installed next week and the painter might start cleaning and polishing … hopefully that will bring back some of the colors.
Best,
Diego

Hi Diego;
My research shows that the 4th window was installed when the Seneca II was released. The Seneca II had club seating (the second and third row seats faced each other) and a 4570 pound maximum take off weight (MTOW) instead of the 4000 or 4200 pound MTOW for the Seneca I.
The II incorporated quite a few upgrade/changes including the higher MTOW, the club seating, turbocharged engines, redesign of the ailerons, addition of a rudder anti servo tab and the addition of a stabilator bob weight.Next step … fixing missing parts on the fuselage. So far just a part on the forward baggage compartment, probably stolen from those years sitting on the grass. Premier Aerospace Systems will get it manufactured and ready in 3 weeks.

Attachments:All right … first question B) :
Is it common for Seneca I to have 4 windows per side instead of 3? mine has 4, but the sister ship (-LCW) has only 3. Her S/N is smaller than mine, thus it might have been a 1971 model. Not sure.
Any light into this? The 4th window is on the baggage compartment.
Thanks,
Diego
