McFarlane Aviation is pleased to announce a partnership with Hutch Aviation to bring Cessna and Piper service kits to a larger market. This partnership strengthens McFarlane’s commitment to providing high-quality, cost-effective components that enhance safety, maintainability, and aircraft longevity.
Hutch Aviation’s line of Cessna forward doorpost reinforcement service kits and associated service kit components will now be offered through McFarlane. These highly sought-after Alternative Method of Compliance (AMOC) service kits address known fatigue and cracking issues in the forward doorpost area, the important structural region where the wing strut attaches to many strut-braced Cessna models. This area has been the focus of FAA AD 2020-18-01, mandating inspection and repair due to decades of stress and structural degradation.
The Hutch service kits are highly valued by operators and maintainers for delivering practical, compliant structural repairs. These kits reinforce the forward doorpost structure on a wide range of models, including the Cessna 172, 182, 206, 207, and 210.
“We are excited to bring Hutch’s structural repair solutions into the McFarlane family,” said Mike Polanis, President of McFarlane Aviation. “The forward doorpost reinforcement kits will be especially valuable to our customers facing aging-airframe maintenance challenges. This partnership further strengthens our mission to deliver reliable, affordable, and innovative products to the general aviation community.”
The addition of Hutch’s product line positions McFarlane to better support aircraft owners, maintainers, and service centers with expanded solutions for legacy Cessna fleets—ensuring continued airworthiness and long-term structural integrity. To order parts now, visit
