They were removable and easily replaced with 464-356 and 357. It was the elements, power out to them. All back working now!
Pitot heat

P/N is 96392-06 (Head Assembly- Pitot (heated)) for 236 SN 28-8211016 and up. Don’t think it’s the same as the 235, but if you have that part number or the part number for the 180 I can see if there is a cross reference somewhere.
I don’t show on the parts catalog any element part numbers for the above, and they don’t look removable when inspected.
Are you sure it doesn’t have replaceable elements? My parts list shows the same part number for he 235 as mine which is a 180 and it does have replaceable elements. If the 236 is different I would be surprised. Just because it isn’t listed in the parts manual doesn’t mean there are none. The first thing you can do is drop the blade out of the wing and check for power to the elements. If you do have it I would shop for the elements. If you don’t have power start working your way back. I have heard the switches can be burned out. I replaced mine earlier this year. Are you an A&P?
My pitot heat stoped working, any suggestions? I’ve cycled power, breaker not popped. Also has anyone changed the 236 pitot with another, as it looks like the 236 blade doesn’t have replacement elements, and a new one is pricy.
