Service Bulletin (SB) 1412 supersedes SB 886 for all aircraft models except for the following:
PA-28-151, PA-28-161, PA-28-181, PA-28R-180, PA-28R-200, PA-28R-201, PA-28R-201T, PA-28RT-201, PA-28RT-201T, PA-28-235, and PA-32-260. Aircraft that were previously made compliant with SB 886, AD 2020-26-16, or an equivalent eddy current inspection (ECI) must comply with SB 1412.

This service bulletin mandates a one-time inspection of the affected aircraft for cracks at specific bolt hole locations in the main wing spars and reporting the findings to Piper Aircraft, Inc. regardless of the results. If the data collected will be essential in determining service actions applicable to all of the affected aircraft, such as the repairability of some wing spars.
