Shell Aviation is launching the global packaging refresh of its Piston Engine Oil portfolio to the industry, including new, easily recognizable labels and bottles. They will be the same products with no changes in the formulations. More details about the packaging refresh initiative are also available on our AeroShell website.

Shell Aviation is also hosting the AeroShell booth, Hangar C Booth #3072, where everyone is welcome to stop by to find out more about AeroShell and show activities. Booth staff will be available to talk with visitors about the technical benefits of Shell Aviation products. There is also the opportunity every day, from 11:00 a.m. to 12 p.m., to meet the AeroShell Aerobatic Team for an autograph session. All booth visitors can collect the free annual AeroShell Oshkosh poster and purchase AeroShell oil from our official distributor.

The Shell Aviation team is excited to host the Thursday evening concert, featuring the popular band Boogie and the Yo-Yoz. If that’s not enough, a pre-concert to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the globally renowned AeroShell Aerobatic Team is on the schedule as well. Just join Shell Aviation leadership at the Main Stage on Boeing Plaza at 5:40 p.m. to join the festivities. As noted previously, this is when the winner of the AeroShell Aerobatic Team sweepstakes will be announced.

On Tuesday and Thursday, July 29 and 31, 10 a.m. at Forum 8, Robert Midgley, Global Technical and Quality Manager, Shell Aviation Fuels, will give a technical presentation. His focus will be Shell unleaded Avgas, which was announced in December 2013 after 10 years of research.

On Tuesday 29 July, at 9 a.m. at Boeing Plaza, the Shell Aviation/Able Flight Scholarship in honor of Alan Henley—a founding member of the AeroShell Aerobatic Team—will be awarded during the Able Flight Wings Pinning Ceremony. The is the first Able Flight Scholarship to be awarded since Shell Aviation announced in April its commitment to Able Flight, an organization providing aviation career training scholarships to people with physical disabilities. The graduates learned to fly at the Able Flights annual joint flight training program with Purdue University’s Department of Aviation Technology.
